The Kashrut of Insects in Modern Times

This responsum was passed by the Committee on Jewish Law and Standards of the Rabbinical Assembly in December of 2025. It explores the tradition of edible insects within Jewish law, and permits specific insects to be eaten when produced under proper supervision.
