The central tenet of my approach to education and religious practice is intentionality. Every detail in every service, every sermon, every tune, every pause is a choice. The selection of what to teach and what not to teach in a class is a choice. Setting a goal is a choice. The most effective choices are those that focus on achieving particular goals and creating a particular environment. Being intentional and thoughtful about those choices allows me to bring my entire being to the experience, to focus on a particular goal, and to build a comprehensive, integrated, approach to being.
